Washington Hose Company No.1 Improvement Projects Continue.

Another improvement project of the Washington Hose Company No.1 has been completed!!

With the assistance of the Brandywine Health Foundation grant the company was able to replace all of the engine bay doors and install new safety devices and lift controls. In addition the new doors will help lower the energy cost for heating and cooling of the station.

2014 Giving Tree

This past Monday Honey Brook, Medic 93, and the Washington Hose Company EMS services came together to fulfill the needs of the 2014 Giving Tree. The much needed items this years were for children ranging from 1 to 10 years of age who needed winter clothes, toys and reading materials. These items will be distributed to the CYWA of Coatesville and the various local shelters before Christmas.

Daylight saving time to end; change batteries in smoke alarms!!!!

Daylight saving time ends at 2 a.m. Sunday morning.

That means that you need to set your clocks back one hour before you go to bed tonight.

You should also change the batteries in your smoke detectors.

Every year there are fire fatalities that occur in homes that didn't have smoke alarms, or where the alarms did not function because of dead batteries. If you do not have a smoke alarm, you need ... (Full Story & Photos)
